About

Welcome to Worldly Saint!

I started Worldly Saint as a blog focused on improving quality of life through optimism, mindfulness and common sense.

We live in a saturated, frenetic world where more often than not we find ourselves limited by circumstances, other people and our personal phobias. Our independent thought is constantly threatened by advertisements, politicians, authorities, neighbors and friends all with personal objectives, agendas, experiences, worries and fears, shaping the way we think and see the world.

“If only I worked closer to home…”
“If only I could get paid a little more…”
“If only I had slept another hour…”

Sound familiar? This constant wishful thinking occupies our time when we actually should be taking care of our issues or learning to deal with them. It can be daunting, even downright frightening to try and break down our habits and behaviors in order to better them.

We are frustrated because we know very well what we want, but seem to not have the time, resources, skill or luck to make them come true. In this instant gratification culture, rarely do we take the time to sit down and think before acting. Add a fair amount of comparison to your peers and you already know where this is headed. Reality kicks in and it’s bound to kick us back when we have such a distorted view of life.

Worldly Saint gathers under one roof as many posts as possible that can give you that oh-so-needed 15 minute break throughout your daily routine where you can gather your thoughts, take a deep breath, and go about your day with more focus, clarity and happiness.

I think that’s enough rambling for now so I’m gonna leave you to browse and hopefully find something valuable. Cheers.
